Life Sux is mostly an independent label putting out sad bands for kids to cry over. I'm based in Sheffield (UK), but release shit from all over the world. Whether it be tapes, CD's, vinyls, whatever - I'll get them out.

Update On Releases ‘n’ Shit

This is just an update: sorry for being an assbag and not letting everybody know with anything that is going on at the moment; I WILL be releasing my good friend Ethan’s/Slurred Terms ’Still Breathing’ EP and Uncle Business’ ‘Sand Year’ demo as soon as I can. I just need to get some money together for the releases then they’ll be out. Make sure to order them, because they’re the best of fucking dudes.

Also I will be doing Park Jefferson/Charles Barkley Split; I’m so stoked for this! The best dudes making the best music in the scene. Get ready fo’ it! 

All pre-orders should be up within the next few weeks.

I’ve got a few new reviews and interviews lined-up for the near future as well. Other than that, thanks for spreading this name, and liking anything I do. I fucking love you all. Stay sad. xoxoxoxxo

Three Cruel Words (I Love You) Split, Slurred Terms & Self Loathing. Ethan’s side (Slurred Terms) -  Again, Ethan cannot produce a bad song at all. These 3 tracks will most likely make you cry at some point. His lyrics are as hard-hitting as ever. Really this guy needs more attention than he’s getting, as it doesn’t live up to how fucking good this guys music is. Look forward to the next couple of months, I will be getting his ep ‘Still Breathing’ out on a limited run of CD’s. Make sure to tell everybody you know about this guy - he’s fucking worth it. Anthony’s side (Self Loathing) -  The name of his work says it all - emotional and honest lyrics with nice little acoustic riffs to back it. So if you’re in the mood to self-loath then this dude is the guy to go too. A stand out track on Ant’s side is ‘1.21 Gigawatts of Pure Disappointment’, mostly because I feel every word he’s saying in it. Should definitely check some of the other shit he’s got out. Two fucking great dudes, who’ve made one of my favourite splits I’ve ever listened too. A massive approval from me. Get on it. 1st Release: ‘Still Breathing’ - Slurred Terms

I’ll be releasing my boy Ethan Coad’s ep ‘Still Breathing’ on CD, some time in March. I’m looking to be releasing around 30 copies (will probably change to 50), which will be available for cheap-ish. I’m not 100% on everything as of yet, but this IS happening, and I’m very happy about it. This release is one of my personal favourites from the past year or so, so it’ll be a pleasure to put out. I’m looking to put the pre-orders up for around the beginning of March. I’ll keep everything posted about this.

Something.

I’ve decided to make this a mostly web-based zine, as it will just run quicker that way. I will still make some issues and physical stuff to buy, and maybe put out a few releases here and there if any band wants that…? I’ll be posting on here more   regularly now, so keep a watch on this space.

New song ‘Why I’m Alone’ from Ethan Coad (Slurred Terms); the song is going to feature on the split with Self Loathing which should be out soon.

Ethan needs to stop writing the anthems to my days. This guy seriously is the shit, and if people don’t pick up on it soon, I’ll have no faith in humanity (not that I have much faith in it as it is). He keeps coming back with better and better stuff each time. He is the opposite of a disappointment.
